Matt Bomer publicly acknowledges partner, kids
When I attended the Family Equality Council Awards Dinner on Saturday night, I was flipping through the program and noticed the names Matt Bomer and Simon Halls listed together as part of the host committee.
It made me wonder of the handsome star of White Collar was going to start being more public about his longtime partner and their kids – especially after he posed for photos with son Kit at a Super Bowl event a few weeks ago.
Little did I know that at the same time the Family Equality Council dinner was going on in Los Angeles, Matt was at another awards ceremony being more open than ever before – publicly – about Halls and their kids.
Bomer received the New Generation Arts and Activism Award for his work in the fight against HIV/AIDS at the Steve Chase Humanitarian Awards on Saturday night in Palm Springs.
‘I’d really especially like to thank my beautiful family: Simon, Kit, Walker, Henry,’ he said at the end of his speech. ‘Thank you for teaching me what unconditional love is. You will always be my proudest accomplishment.’
Good for Matt for doing things his way and at his own pace.
