Matt Bomer has last day on set of “White Collar”
Greg In Hollywood fave Matt Bomer has filmed his last episode of White Collar, the terrific USA Network action- drama that made him a star.
Matt tweeted yesterday: ‘Last day at White Collar-I love this family so much. Thank you to everyone who supported us over the years-we wouldn’t be here without you!’
The show debuted in 2009 with a then little-known Matt in the lead role of ex-con Neal Caffrey. As a way of staying out of prison, Neal agrees to help the FBI catch other white collar criminals and works with an FBI agent played by Tim Dekay.
Both Bomer and Dekay have appeared in all 86 episodes of the series which is having an abbreviated six-episode season six.
The show’s co-stars include Willie Garson (who tweeted out a last day photo with Bomer), Tiffani Thiessen, Sharif Atkins and Marsha Thomason.
The White Collar cast was publicly supportive of Matt when the actor came out publicly as a gay man in 2012.
When Matt began on the show, he was best known for his recurring role on the NBC series Chuck, for starring in the short-lived series Traveler and Tru Calling and for his role on the daytime soap Guiding Light.
Since the series became a hit, Matt has appeared in the box office hit Magic Mike and earned widespread acclaim and an Emmy nomination for his performance in the HBO film The Normal Heart.
