Matt Bomer and Jonathan Bailey react to “Fellow Travelers” finale – including the nude slow dance

I’ve now watched Fellow Travelers in its entirety and may have to watch it again because I miss the characters. I think it’s the best gay love story ever depicted on television spanning the Lavender Scare of the 1940s and 50s through to the first decade of the AIDS pandemic. It breaks your heart to watch what gay people had to go through just to be together and the price they paid personally and professionally if they were found out. But the fact that these two men kept finding each other decade after decade and the deep once-in-a-lifetime love they share is as beautiful as it is tragic. The series gave Matt Bomer the best role of his career (so far) and Jonathan Bailey is equally sensational. They are so much to these characters of “Hawk” and “Skippy” and I cannot recommend this series enough.
