Mary Tyler Moore Monday: Mary Richards puts on one of her disastrous dinner parties

This is a great episode from season four of The Mary Tyler Moore Show. It is most significant because it marked the debut of Sue Ann Nivens, the delicious character played to perfection by Betty White. I love in this clip how everyone less than tactfully tells Mary how terrible her parties are.

She hopes a dinner party she has planned for a congresswoman will be different now that Sue Ann, TV’s Happy Homemaker, volunteers to cook the meal.
