Mary Matalin claims ‘all my gay friends’ think Vladimir Putin ‘looks so buff when he’s shirtless’
I am not a fan of Republican Mary Matalin – she just seems mean and soulless.
Anyway, on ABC’s This Week with George Stephanopoulos on Sunday, Matalin was given an opportunity to say something insightful about Russia’s anti-gay propaganda law.
She chose not to.
Earlier in the program, Stephanopoulos had asked Russian President Vladimir Putin about the law that is threatening to overshadow next month’s Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia.
During a round table discussion, Matalin made clear she’s not a fan of the topic saying: ‘Can I just say I’m just so sick of sports of politics?’
Then she said: ‘I know I’m going to get in trouble for this but all of my gay friends think he looks so buff when he’s shirtless.’
Matalin then wondered by Putin ‘is even talking about this.’
Stephanopoulos replied: ‘He has to talk about this. It’s a huge controversy.’
Matalin’s liberal pundit husband, James Carville, was also on the program and observed that moving forward, any country putting in a bid for the Olympics will be able to have ‘anything close to any of the gay laws or anything like that.’
‘They’re going to have to clean them up,’ he said.
Carville did not have any comment on Putin’s shirtlessness.
