Mariah Carey has a terrible Ellen DeGeneres story
In an interview with Vulture ahead of the release of her memoir, The Meaning of Mariah Carey, Mariah Carey discussed the recently resurfaced interview in which Ellen DeGeneres challenged her to drink a glass of champagne in an attempt to confirm rumors she was pregnant.
Carey managed to skillfully avoid the line of questioning by taking a small sip from her glass. DeGeneres then declared, “You’re pregnant!”
Mariah miscarried shortly after the interview.
“I was extremely uncomfortable with that moment is all I can say,” Carey told the publication. “And I really have had a hard time grappling with the aftermath. I wasn’t ready to tell anyone because I had had a miscarriage. I don’t want to throw anyone that’s already being thrown under any proverbial bus, but I didn’t enjoy that moment.”
She went on to say that there is “an empathy that can be applied to those moments that I would have liked to have been implemented. But what am I supposed to do? It’s like, [sings] ‘What are you going to do?’”

is she tying to blame Ellen for that miscarriage? What a bunch of BS from this phony MC.

I don’t think she’s blaming Ellen for anything, just telling a story which I find quite plausible. I’ve never been able to watch an episode of Ellen without feeling uncomfortable with the way she interviews people. There’s something mocking about the way she treats guests, I’ve often wondered why anyone would go on the show.
