Margaret Cho is openly campaigning to be next co-host chosen for “The View”
I so rarely watch The View anymore so what do I care but a very little bit of Jenny McCarthy goes a very long way.
To see her on a daily basis is not something I would want to do.
But since I’m not consulted in these matters, McCarthy has been chosen to replace Joy Behar on The View starting in December.
Margaret Cho on the other hand, I’d love to see her on the show and she is openly campaigning for the one more open co-host slot (see video below).
The show has never had an LGBT person as a panelist so Margaret would be great – she’s smart, outspoken, very informed and very funny.
But I have a feeling they are going to make a safer choice with Brooke Shields.
Margaret jokes that she is going to show up at the set of The View dressed as Catwoman, a stint pulled by Sean Young in the early 1990s when she wanted to be cast in a Batman movie.
But here’s hoping!

As a casual ‘View’ viewer – I could not agree with you more including replacement with Brooke Shields and most certainly your comment, “To see [hear] her [McCarthy] on a daily basis is not something I would want to do.”

Greg, You don’t consider Rosie O’Donnel LGBT enough? She was a co-host for a while and was considered to be controversial. That was when the Rosie/Trump feud began.

Think Rosie had her chances – wonder what kind of exchange would happen between Whoopie and Rosie or how long [suggest a lottery] ?!? hmmm Think Margaret Cho is better choice but why not nominate/suggest Kathy Griffin…

Cho would bring a very different dynamic to The View. Personally, I can’t watch it now or in the future. Who wants to see and hear those women talking?
