Margaret Cho is sad John Travolta is not out: ‘I don’t think that he’s in danger of being hurt’
John Travolta has been married for more than 20 years to Kelly Preston but that has never quelled speculation that he is gay or bisexual.
The latest to weigh in is bisexual comic Margret Cho who was questioned by HuffPost Live this week about previously saying that outing Travolta would be ‘like outing Liberace’ because ‘it’s so obvious.’
That’s why she feels she can speak freely about the two-time Oscar nominee whose classics include Pulp Fiction, Saturday Night Fever, Grease, Urban Cowboy and Hairspray.
‘He didn’t even share it with me – it’s more that is the way that he is. And I felt bad and wanted to express the sorrow that I felt that here’s somebody who is so great and has an amazing side of himself that he can’t really share.
‘I don’t think that he’s in danger of being hurt… somebody that’s living in a conservative community would need that kind of protection or silence.’
Speculation about Travolta’s sexuality has ratcheted up in recent years after a string of men filed sexual harassment against the actor. None went to trial and Travolta denied the allegations.

WHO CARES?…. Just be happy John.
If he decides to come out, Mr. Travolta has nothing to worry about. He is who he is, straight, gay or bi. Honestly, most people don’t really care one tiny bit. This kind of speculation is getting old and quite tiresome. There are so many other important issues in our community that need to be addressed.

I love Margaret Cho, but big whoop! Travolta can live his life the way he sees fit. The only one he has to answer to is his wife.
