Making a fuss over Shirley Jones who pre-Partridge Family, was an Oscar-winning movie star

Oscar winner Shirley Jones, star of classic musicals Oklahoma, The Music Man and Carousel (she also drove that bus around on TV in the early 70s) is 89 years old today and still looks magnificent.

Miss Jones was an unknown when she became the first and only singer to be put under personal contract with the songwriters Rodgers and Hammerstein. In addition to her three best known musicals, she also starred in the 1957 musical April Love and won an Academy Award in 1960 for a dramatic performance in the film Elmer Gantry (See her accepting the Oscar in the bottom clip).
