Macklemore & Ryan Lewis win four Grammys!
Sometimes, it just works out the way you want it to.
Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, the duo who with vocalist Mary Lambert gave us an anthem for the ages with Same Love, won four Grammys tonight.
Their wins were for Best New Artist, Best Rap Performance (for Thrift Shop), Best Rap Song (Thrift Shop), and Best Rap Album (The Heist). Same Love lost out for Song of the Year but stole the show anyway.

So happy for them. Love that Macklemore…he’s so cool in a musical genre that generally denegrates women and gay people in lyrics. He’s positive and upbeat and a lot of fun too.

I’m glad they won but disappointed ‘Same Love’ didn’t. What a stunningly honest and heartfelt video to go along with a beautiful song. No matter how many times I watch it there is always a lump in my throat.
