Lunch Break Videos: Moments from more than 30 years of the American Music Awards

Gosh that was fun.

Just finished looking through these various moments from the American Music Awards because I’m gearing up to cover this year’s show on Sunday from the red carpet and backstage.

There are so many gems here like Janet Jackson as a child, a pre-Thriller Michael Jackson smiling and laughing then Michael years later accepting an award from Eddie Murphy (pictured, left) and asking Eddie to adjust the mic stand for him; an extremely thin Aretha Franklin, Madonna with huge eyebrows, a very curly Celine Dion, Dick Clark in a dress and some bizarre presenting pairs like Meat Loaf and Charo and Kathy Griffin and Clay Aiken.
