In honor of Lucille Ball’s 98th birthday, what better than this clip from I Love Lucy when Lucy hooked up with “the friends of the friendless”>

Poor Lucy thinks everyone forgot her birthday not knowing that a surprise party has been planned at Ricky’s nightclub all along. Now, if you ask me, the whole “friends of the friendless” part seemed a little creepy to me but oh well.

The best part of the episode comes at the end when Ricky sings the show’s theme song as a present and I do believe it’s the first time we ever hear the lyrics.
