Lunch Break Video: When Lucy Ricardo feuded with Tallulah Bankhead

Die-hard I Love Lucy fans like me pretty much know every half-hour episode from the show’s 1951-57 run. Less well-known are the 13 one-hour episodes that followed from 1957-60, While they each have their moments, they aren’t as funny as the half-hour shows – except for the episode that featured Tallulah Bankhead.

Bankhead plays her moviue star self and she and Lucy end up living next door to each other for the summer. They have a series of misunderstandings that results in them being at war with each other.

Bonus Video: The last hour-long I Love Lucy was a poignant one. Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz were divorcing. So when guest star Edie Adams chose to sing the very beautiful long song, That’s All, in the last episode, there was not a dry eye in the house.
