Lunch Break Video: When Carol Burnett was a nurse who swooned over shirtless Lyle Waggoner
I’m so glad this randomly popped up on my YouTube feed because I think we all deserve to watch old sketches from The Carol Burnett Show featuring a shirtless Lyle Waggoner. I don’t think he got enough credit for being an absolute HUNK. This sketch is from season 4, episode 2 of the Burnett show and also features Jim Nabors who guested at least once a year on the show and came out publicly as a gay man very late in life.

Lyle was one of earliest man-crushes. His shirtless scenes were a highlight of my Saturday nights in the 1970s! I wish he had shown ‘more’ in his Playgirl layout but he still looked gorgeous! A very beautiful man who was very underrated as a comedian and actor. WOOF!
