This is the video for We Are the World with proceeds going to USA for Africa. Tina Turner, Stevie Wonder, Diana Ross, Huey Lewis, Kenny Loggins, Bob Dylan, Dionne Warwick, Ray Charles Steve Perry, Darryl Hall and John Oates, James Ingram, Al Jareau, and Kim Carnes also participated. In fact, there were so many stars there to record the song that Bette Midler, in her post-The Rose career lull, was not even given a solo part. Imagine that, the Divine one relegated to background vocals with Latoya Jackson!
