Lunch Break Video: The smart and funny Rose Marie as Sally Rogers in “The Dick Van Dyke Show”

Yesterday, I attended an event at The Magic Castle in Hollywood celebrating the 100th anniversary of the mansion where it has been located since the early 60s.

I’ll have photos and interviews posted this afternoon. Among those in attendance was Rose Marie, the comedy legend best known for her role as Sally on the classic Dick Van Dyke Show.

Sally was the only female on a comedy writing team that included Rob Petrie (Van Dyke) and Buddy Sorrell (Morey Amsterdam). Sally was quick with a quip and their scenes in the writers room on the fictional Alan Brady Show always crackled with chemistry and wit.
