Lunch Break Video: Stockard Channing sings a few memorable tunes as Rizzo in “Grease”

Olivia Newton-John is a singer who can act and she was the perfect choice to play Sandy in the 1978 film version of Grease.

Stockard Channing, on the other hand, is an actress who can sing and boy, is there anybody else who you can imagine playing bad girl Rizzo in the movie?

In her two big musical numbers, Miss Channing nails the comedy in Look at Me I’m Sandra Dee and show’s her character’s vulnerability in There Are Worse Things I Could Do.

A Tony winner, two-time Emmy winner and Oscar nominee, Miss Channing’s post-Grease career has been glorious but I’ll always love her best as Rizzo.
