Lunch Break Video: See the trailer for “Sparkle,” the movie Whitney Houston completed before she died
Like a lot of our great divas (Diana, Liza, Cher) who sing and can also act, Whitney Houston did not make near as many movies as we wish she had.
She memorably starred in a trio of films – The Bodyguard, Waiting to Exhale and The Preacher’s Wife and had a supporting role in the TV remake of Cinderella before drugs and personal problems took over.
But Whitney, who died in February, had gotten herself together enough last summer to film a role in the movie Sparkle in which she looks terrific. She plays the mother of Jordin Sparks and the trailer has just been unveiled.
