A year ago, the most popular win at the Tony Awards was that of Patti LuPone, who won her second Tony for the musical Gypsy. It came 30 years after her first win for Evita. There had been many nominations and many losses in between so victory was awful sweet. Above is Patti singing Everything’s Coming Up Roses then, a short time later, winning the award.
