Lunch Break Video: Mo’Nique on “The Parkers”

Look, I’m not saying The Parkers was Emmy worthy or anything. But what I am saying is that I could quite happily watch back-to-back-to-back episodes of this old UPN sitcom which starred Oscar nominee Mo’Nique.

I just found her irresistible in this show about a single mom raising her daughter and forever chasing after the professor who lives down the hall.

Because Mo’Nique was so damned funny, I could never have imagined she would be the front=runner to win the Academy Award for her astounding portrayal of a monstrously abusive mother in Precious: Based on the Novel ‘Push’ by Sapphire.
