Lunch Break Video: Kirstie Alley’s hilarious meltdown on “Fat Actress”

I confess, I find it annoying that Kirstie Alley got her umpteenth People Magazine cover not too long ago for gaining back the 70 pounds (and more) that she had famously lost through her high-profile Weight Watchers gig.

It’s not so much that she gained the weight, but that she once again decided to make a public spectacle of it.

That said, the first time she did this – got really fat and decided to make a spectacle of herself – was a riot because she did a TV show about it: Fat Actress. I don’t think she’s ever been funnier than in this scene in the premiere episode (the show ran for one season on Showtime an d is available on DVD) when she is screaming into the phone – burger in hand – at her agent demanding that he get her a TV series.

Sure, she’s fat. But so is James Gandolfini (or Gandolfino as she called him) who she says: “is way, way, WAY fatter than I am!”
