I love Kathy Griffin despite the fact that she insists on milking the whole “dating” Levi Johnston thing. I would care less about Levi Johnston – even if he poses for Playgirl. I found his Vanity Fair piece amusing because he revealed that Sarah Palin, the maternal grandmother of his child, likes to eat the Crunchwrap Supreme from Taco Bell.

Other than that, he’s about as interesting as watching paint dry. Kathy spent more than half of her appearance on The Tonight Show Monday talking about Levi which makes me very afraid that he’s gonna figure in her future stand-up.

Anyway, Conan O’Brien finally steered her to more interesting topics like her being banned, unbanned, rebanned then unbanned again from The View.

“I have a relationship with Barbara Walters that’s like a love-hate situation,” Kathy explained. “When I used to do The View, she would kick me under the table when I was inappropriate so I looked like Rhianna from the knees down. … I had bruises and lacerations but it was worth it.”

Kathy also reminded Conan that they had once gone on a date together years ago – but he doesn’t remember it.

Conan: “I remember that we went to write a sketch together.”

Kathy: “That was the date! And, you were super into me. … The lengths that you’ve gone through to try and act like you’re over me. Getting married and having kids. … Levi’s gonna rip your head off!”
