Lunch Break Video: Julia Sugarbaker (aka The Terminator” on “Designing Women”
Julia Sugarbaker, the delicious character played by Dixie Carter for seven seasons on Designing Women, has a way with words – especially when she’s ticked off! So who better to kick off a new Greg In Hollywood daily feature: Lunch Break Video! Each day I’ll feature comedy or music or maybe a news clip.
Above is one of Julia’s best-ever rants and one of the reasons she became known as The Terminator. She tells a snotty beauty queen about her sister and ends with a flourish telling “Margorie” in a way “so that you’ll never forget, so that your children will never forget, is the night. The Lights. Went out. In Georgia!”

Also loved her comeback to the old gentle when they were waltzing and he asked, “We gonna have us a big ole cook out! You ever been on a big ole cook out?” To which Dixie Carter replied, “NO! but I’m sure you’re gonna get your-self some BIG OLE MEAT and COOK IT !”
