Lunch Break Video: Judy Garland’s poignant final performance on “The Tonight Show”
Not sure how it is that I’ve never seen this video of Judy Garland’s final appearance on The Tonight Show on Dec. 17, 1968.
She would die of an accidental overdose just over six months later at just 47.
Judy is singing It’s All For You and it made me feel sad watching it because you can see she was in good form and could have had a productive life and career ahead of her if she could have stayed healthy.
Thankfully, there are gems like this that keep Liza’s mom alive forever.

Simply brilliant. There are very few people with such majestic talent as Judy Garland had. It would have been interesting to see what may have been. Imagine Judy performing, “Time Heals Everything” from Mack & Mabel which was first heard five short years after Garland’s passing. Ahhh, the possibilities. Would love to have heard a Garland Christmas album too. Sigh.
