Lunch Break Video: Enjoy Katharine McPhee’s version of “Beautiful” from NBC’s new series “Smash”
SMASH: I know that some people are not as hot on Glee as they used to be now that it is in its third season. I still enjoy the show but admit to not getting that same excited feeling of anticipation each week. But that feeling may return with the new NBC series Smash which premieres in February.
Among the stars of this series about behind-the-scenes of a Broadway musical are Debra Messing, Angelica Huston and lovely Katharine McPhee who plays an Iowa gal named Karen Cartwright.
Here she is singing Beautiful in a video featuring footage from the new show. Can’t wait!

Still not sure why people make comparisons between Glee and Smash. Other then they both have singing they can be no more different. I have seen the first episode of Smash that will be airing in February and it is really good. McPhee surprised me with her acting and it will be interesting to see how far they can keep this story going. I still think it would have been better if it had stayed on Showtime.
