Lunch Break Video: Double Bette Midler and Lily Tomlin in a pivotal scene of “Big Business”

Big Business was released in 1988 when Bette Midler was on a box office tear making a string of hits for Disney including Down and Out in Beverly Hills, Outrageous Fortune, Ruthless People and Beaches.

Midler and Lily Tomlin play two sets of identical twins are born in the same hospital on the same night. One set to a poor local family and the other to a rich family just passing through. The dizzy nurse on duty accidentally mixes the twins than years later, they all end up in the same hotel.

This funny scene has to twins played by Midler coming face-to-face and it is reminiscent of the Lucille Ball-Harpo Marx scene in a classic episode of I Love Lucy.

My favorite line is when Bette says to Bette: “Oh God, it’s me with a bad haircut”
