Lunch Break Video: Ann and Nancy Wilson perform a sublime “Stairway to Heaven” for Led Zeppelin

This surfaced on my Facebook feed this morning and I was blown away it. It is Ann Wilson and Nancy Wilson performing Stairway to Heaven during the Led Zeppelin portion of last year’s Kennedy Center Honors.

I usually watch this show every year but for some reason, missed it last year and did not record it and just forgot about it.

Well, this rendition is dynamite and even brings Robert Plant to tears.

It’s a song that is part of the soundtrack of my life as it was played at the end of just about every high school dance. I’d always be slow dancing with some perfectly nice girl as I gazed across the floor of the gym at some hot guy.

Anyway, a few years ago, got to chat with Nancy and Ann on the red carpet of an LA Gay & Lesbian Center event and they are staunch LGBT allies and unbelievably cool women.
