Long Beach Q Film Festival award winners

Only got to spend half a day at the Long Beach QFilm Festival this year due to a packed schedule but it was, as always, a terrific time.

The festival, held from September 12-14, benefits the non-profit LGBTQ Center of Long Beach’s great community outreach programs.

The 2014 jury award winners are listed below:

Best Feature: BOY MEETS GIRL

Best Short Film-Drama: YOU’RE DEAD TO ME

Best Short Film-Comedy: SHAMELESS

Best Director-Feature: MIGUEL FERRARI, MY STRAIGHT SON

Best Director-Short Film: DENNIS SHINNERS, BARRIO BOY

Best Documentary-Feature: TRANSVISIBLE: BAMBY SALCEDO’S STORY

Best Documentary-Short: FAMILIES ARE FOREVER

Special Jury Awards
Emerging Talent: Acting- JULIAN WALKER, BLACKBIRD
Emerging Talent: Writing & Directing- DESIREE AKHAVAN, APPROPRIATE BEHAVIOR
