Liza Minnelli to guest on “Hot In Cleveland”

This could be the most delicious guest-starring stint since Susan Lucci!

I’ve now caught up with all of the season two episodes of Hot in Cleveland on DVD and have really developed an appreciation for how damned funny this TV Land sitcom is.

Betty White’s timing is spot-on, the writing is very funny and the chemistry between Wendie Malick, Valerie Bertinelli and Jane Leeves makes you believe they are really the best of friends.

Now there is news that the great Liza Minnelli will be guest starring later this season as the agent of Malick’s character. I’m confident they will give Liza some funny stuff because Lucci was really a riot during her three episodes.

Liza is known for her singing chops and her dramatic ability (she won the Oscar for Cabaret, after all) but we also know she can be very funny in the sitcom format from her recurring role as Lucille 2 on Arrested Development.

Liza is signed for one episode at this point but, hopefully, she will return for a few more just like Lucci did.
