Liza, Lorna and Joey set to appear on Sunday’s Oscars to honor their mother Judy Garland

This alone makes me want to watch the Oscars on Sunday – not that I wouldn’t be anyway!

The three children of gay icon Judy Garland will make a rare joint public appearance together for a tribute to the 75th anniversary of The Wizard of Oz.

Liza Minnelli, herself an Oscar winner, will appear with her younger siblings Lorna Luft and Joey Luft, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Liza, of course, is the daughter of Garland and the late director Vincente Minnelli while her brother and sister are from Garland’s marriage to Sid Luft.

Joey Luft has mostly avoided the spotlight but Lorna Luft is a well-known veteran of stage, movies and television.

Garland was twice nominated for an Academy Award with her nods coming for A Star Is Born and Judgement at Nuremberg. She lost both times but did receive the Academy Juvenile Award the year she appeared in The Wizard of Oz.
