LGBTQ+ ally Judith Light looks back at her iconic career through rare ET interviews

If Judith Light had done nothing else beyond her two-time Emmy winning role of Karen Wolek on ABC’s One Life to Live, she would never be forgotten by her legions of fans. But she was just getting started as she went on to star in the sitcom Who’s the Boss, co-star in and be Emmy nominated for her roles in the beloved TV series Ugly Betty and Transparent, recur for nine years as a judge on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, earn an Emmy nod for her performance in the miniseries The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story, and win an Emmy for the comedy series Poker Face. There’s also been delicious TV roles in The Politician and the reboot of Dallas.

She goes over all of it and more with Entertainment Tonight in this piece that I found quite delightful. I’m also happy to see Judith speak of her extensive AIDS activism and staunch support of the LGBTQ+ community when discussing her role in the 1989 TV film The Ryan White Story.

It’s a stupendous career that also includes several feature films, many TV movies and acclaimed roles on the stage that have earned her two Tony Awards for featured actress in a play.
