Lee Daniels has a crush on Seth Meyers – and he still likes directing in his pajamas
Was up way too late the other night and found myself watching Late Night With Seth Meyers.
I have such a crush on Seth and think he’s smart and adorable.
Turns out one of his guests on the show, Lee Daniels, does too.
‘My boyfriend was so nervous about me coming on here tonight … because I had a crush on you,’ he told Seth who smiled widely.
Daniels, currently riding high on the stupendous success of his TV series Empire, wore a suit for his appearance with Meyers but says he still likes to work in his pajamas – even when working with Oprah Winfrey.
‘I’ve always directed in my pajamas,’ Daniels said. ‘I was overweight, I lost like 60 pounds, so (weight) was the primary reason.
‘But it was just free, I was able to do my thing. I still direct in my pajamas even after losing the weight – I just get them tailored in. Because it liberates me. I sleep, eat, breathe work.’
Meyers wondered how this went over with Oprah Winfrey when Butler directed her in the feature film The Butler.
Daniels says she gave him a look the first time and he said, ‘Shut up, sit down, say your lines.’
Meyers replied: ‘That’s why you go into directing – so you can tell Oprah what to do.’

I could easily see him having a crush on Seth Meyers, but I always thought his brother Josh was real good looking.

First, I never thought of Seth Meyers being adorable but of course he is. You know it starts with the GAYS (HEY) and then the girls (14 on up) and then everyone else. I have to thank Lee Daniels for that one because OMG, Seth is adorable!!!!! Secondly, this was such a cute interview and Lee Daniels was pretty freaking (other word) A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!! You know when beautiful and talented actresses or entertainers used to go on Letterman, Leno and even Carson (Much love to the first too and R.I.P. to Carson) and how everyone was excited about the flirting and what they wore?!? Well Lee Daniels interview was one of those moments and not in a few years has any other man did that and there were other incredibly handsome, HOT and talented men on those shows but they didn’t do that for me. Lee Daniels at that moment was just EVERYTHING and I wasn’t just proud of his talent and his achievements but I was proud to be Black, GAY and alive. I just thought this interview was sincere, funny and made me want to not only check on and for Lee Daniels and all his future projects (I just LOVE EMPIRE) but check for Seth Meyers, who is literally the cutest guy.
