Laverne Cox on losing Facebook friend to suicide: “I wept for the loss of another one of our trans sisters”

I just heard the news that our sister #BrynKelly passed away this week from an apparent suicide. I didn't know her beyond being Facebook friends with her. Yet I still wept for the loss of another one of our trans sisters. I think I wept because I know all too well that impulse to want to end it all, that pain that is so deep one feels they can no longer live. I wanna say to everyone out there let's hold on. When we feel we cannot go on any longer hold on. Reach out for help. If I had successfully taken my life the times I tried the wonderful blessings I now get to experience I would not have happened. Hold on and ask for help and support. You may feel alone but you are not alone. #TransIsBeautiful You can donate to Bryn's memorial service. Link in my bio
