Late Night Videos: All about David Bowie and Freddie Mercury and “Under Pressure”

I’m sure there are millions of David Bowie fans spending some time on YouTube these days watching all we can about this rock icon who left us a week ago.

Tonight I’ve been fixated on Under Pressure, the classic 1981 song originally recorded by Queen and Bowie.

Bowie another hd originally come into the studio to sing back-up on the Queen song, Cool Cat but his vocals were removed from the final song as he was not satisfied with his performance – much to the irritation of Freddie Mercury.

Under Pressure evolved from a jam session that Bowie had with the band and was included on Queen’s 1982 album Hot Space. The song reached number one on the UK Singles Chart, becoming the group’s second number-one hit in their home country and Bowie’s third UK number-one. It was also number 31 on VH1’s 100 Greatest Songs of the ’80s.
