Karen Carpenter, born 74 years ago today, remains alive in our hearts.

I grew up, a gay little boy, listening to her records – they just spoke to me.

So when she died on February 4, 1983, I was numb for days.

But instead of feeling sad, I’ve decided today to pay tribute to Karen with some upbeat numbers from her expansive catalog.

I really miss Karen’s sweet voice. One can only imagine what she would have accomplished today if she would have have lived, with her brother or with somoene else.
