Just one more day to wait for DOMA and Prop. 8
Sure, I was up at 6:30 am this morning in case the Supreme Court handed down its decisions on DOMA and Prop. 8.
But that’s nothing compared to Prop. 8 plaintiffs Paul Katami and Jeff Zarrillo (pictured) and Sandy Belzer Stier and Kris Perry have been in Washington DC since last week awaiting the decision and were outside court again today.
‘Our ruling will come tomorrow,’ Katami tweeted after the day’s rulings were announced and it was learned that the gay marriage cases were not among them.
‘Regardless of the outcome we see the momentum and the change in hearts and minds of so many,’ Katami added. ‘One more day.’
Here is a video from the American Foundation of Equal Rights (AFER) which filed the suit on behalf of the plaintiffs. It reminds us of the journey we’ve been on these past 4.5 years.

FAEN says:
Fingers and toes crossed. For binational families the death of DOMA is especially important. I sincerely hope this nightmare is coming to an end.
