Joy Behar’s thoughts on being honored by GLAAD

Joy Behar, one of the coolest women on the planet, is being honored on Saturday night at the GLAAD Media Awards in New York City.

On The View Thursday, Joy talked about what the recognition means to her: “I value an award like that more than any other award. It’s saying to me, ‘You are doing some good in the world even if it’s just your mouth.’ I value that so much.”

She is being presented with The Excellence in Media Award which goes to media professionals who advocate for LGBT issues and increase the visibility of the LGBT community.
