Josh Hartnett kisses Broadway’s Spiderman!
Showtime’s new series Penny Dreadful sure has gotten my attention!
On this week’s episode, there was some hot man on man action involving series star Josh Hartnett (remember him from Pearl Harbor?) and cutie pie Reeve Carney who had the lead role on Broadway in Spider-Man Turn off the Dark.
BuddyTV.com describes the scene this way:
Dorian takes [Ethan] back to his place saying how sorry he is and tries lightening the mood with talk about cologne. It’s weird and intimate at the same time. Even the way he deposits sugar cubes in a drink says seduction…
Dorian decides to play a little mood music and spins some Sade, I mean Wagner. I blinked and Ethan rushes to Dorian, kissing him full on the mouth. This may have been the what the hell moment of the century. They get naked and go at it full Brokeback style. What?

I am so excited about this series! It blows my mind with such a superb cast and a storyline that is on the edge of insanity. There should be plenty of primetime Emmy nominations headed toward this production. Please watch this with the closed caption on. Otherwise, you will miss several details that add to the richness of the script.

I so wish I could see this show but don’t have Showtime. I will be buying the season when it’s released on DVD, especially if I can see this!

i’ve been watching from the very beginning. the confluence of all the greatest horror stories & monsters in itself is intriguing. the weaving in & out of all the stories is fascinating. the BuddyTV.com writer is right about the ” what the hell moment of the century.” talk about total shock. there was not the slightest hint this would happen. when it did i sat up & screamed! BUT unlike the writer’s imaginative take, i screamed WTF?
