On the same week that his former secretary went public with allegations that he had a six-year affair with a male pilot, John Travolta made his first public appearance in months at a tribute to Shirley MacLaine in Los Angeles.

Travolta had been keeping a low profile since early May when a pair of lawsuits were filed against the actor by two male masseurs accusing him of sexual battery and harassment.

The lawsuits have since been withdrawn but the accusers have enlisted the services of famed attorney Gloria Allred. Travolta’s attorney has denied all allegations as well as a the story on the cover of the current issue of the National Enquirer that contains the former secretary’s allegations.

Travolta, looking dapper in a black tuxedo with bow tie, smiled widely as he took the stage with Jennifer Aniston and Julia Roberts to present film clips of MacLaine’s legendary career, according to E!Online.

The actor, whose film classics include Pulp Fiction, Grease, Saturday Night Live and Urban Cowboy, shared with the audience his thoughts on MacLaine who was also feted by Meryl Streep, Sally Field, Jack Nicholson and Morgan Freeman.

Said Travolta: ‘Several years ago, Warren Beatty was talking about a young actress. And I said to him, ‘What was she like?’ And he said, ‘She filled the room with presence like I’ve never seen before.’ And I said, “You know your sister, Shirley? She fills the room with presence.” Travolta then added, ‘She fills the world with presence like no one I’ve ever seen before. And that’s my Shirley. And I love you.’

   Seems there’s a lot of ‘smoke signals’ “… he’s a xxxx xxxxxxxx and father and they don’t deserve this.” The family deserves a lot better including the truth from a good man, husband and father.
