John Mayer clears up widespread report that he kissed a guy (and he liked it!) at Palm Springs club

When reports surfaced that singer John Mayer had allegedly been seen making out with another guy at Toucan’s Tiki Lounge in Palm Springs I was  bummed out that I missed it. Palm Springs is my favorite getaway and I always go to Toucan’s when I’m in town.

I didn’t post about it because I wasn’t sure it was true. We found out from the horse’s mouth today, via Twitter, that while he did dance while at the club, he didn’t lock lips or play tonsil hockey with anyone.

Here’s the Tweet:

“Rumor check: went to a gay bar in Palm Springs, yes,” Mayer tweets. “Had a blast. Danced my face off. Someone there planted a kiss on me? No.

“I don’t like the story painting gays as unable to control themselves. Found the crowd even more respectful than in a straight club.”

So there you have it. John, who has dated Jennifer Aniston and Jessica Simpson among others, has only made out with one guy that we know of. That guy is Perez Hilton.
