John Barrowman turns 44 today!
So where were you the first time you saw John Barrowman? I was in my old apartment in Long Beach, it was the mid-90s, and John appeared onscreen in the delicious but sadly short-lived CBS prime-time sudser Central Park West. He played a John F. Kennedy Jr. like character (until he killed his crazy tabloid reporter wife!) and I knew I had to see more of that man who turns 44 years old today.
About five years later, I even sat through every dreadful episode of NBC’s short-lived Titans just to see John who played a miserable drunk heterosexual character. Around this time, I was at a Cher concert and ran into someone who worked at the PR company repping John. I had consumed a few beers by then and was feeling even mote bold than usual and I blurted out: “Is John Barrowman gay?”
The guy would not answer which was all I needed to know. I filed that away and continued to enjoy John wherever I could see him including a wonderful musical number with Kevin Kline in De-Lovely. Now it’s far easier to see Mr. Barrowman since he took on the role of Capt. Jack Harkness first on the BBC’s Dr. Who then as the lead in its spinoff, Torchwood.
John had a very-publicized civil ceremony with his partner Scott Gill a few years back and wore a kilt. Several reports stated that he was wearing nothing underneath!
Don’t we all just love someone who is a little naughty?

John may be happy living in England or Ireland or where ever he lives. But he needs to be in the good old U.S.A., the land where he spent his formative years so we can see him more often than we now do — as killer dillers like his role in “Desperate Housewives, or performing in live theatre like he did in “La Cage.”
How can anyone who looks like this and sings like he does not be a world wide superstar is beyond belief.

Well, how old is he? You have him as 44 in the headline but 42 in the story. If he’s 42 and you aged him two years I wouldn’t be surprised if he bitch slaps you upside the head next time he sees you! 😛 [Anyways, he sure doesn’t look like he’s in his 40s!]

A very good friend of mine worked with John in London on the musical “The Fix” and said he is just a lovely person. He seems warm and personable and all that comes across in his performances (even as the slime-ball he played in “Desperate Housewives” last year). Hopefully he will continue to entertain us for many more years.

There is one problem however – your title say John is turns 44. Then in the first paragraph, third sentence towards the end you say “who turns 42 years old today”. Continuity error. Please, proof read your article for agreement.
Other than that error – well written.
