Joan Rivers out of ICU and in private room
The daughter of Joan Rivers on Wednesday provided a brief update on the medical condition of her 81-year-old mother who has been unconscious for six days.
‘My mother has been moved out of intensive care and into a private room where she is being kept comfortable,’ Melissa Rivers said in a statement.
‘Thank you for your continued support.’
The update comes a day after the daughter of the legendary comic said that her mother remains on life support and asked for continued prayers.
Rivers went into cardiac arrest last Thursday while having a vocal cord procedure performed at an outpatient facility in New York City.
She was rushed to a nearby hospital and later placed into a medically-induced coma.
