Jim Parsons to host “Saturday Night Live”

Three-time Emmy winner Jim Parsons is going to host NBC’s Saturday Night Live on March 1!

The Big Bang Theory star, who has a role in the upcoming HBO film The Normal Heart, will try and help viewers not notice so much the absence of Seth Meyers.

Yup, this will be the first SNL episode without head writer and news segment anchor Meyers who has taken over for Jimmy Fallon on NBC’s Late Night.

The show is off for a few weeks because of the Olympics.

Beck will be the musical guest for the episode.
