Jesse Tyler Ferguson pays a visit to Ellen DeGeneres show and talks about his engagement

This is a cute little clip from Modern Family star Jesse Tyler Ferguson’s visit to The Ellen DeGeneres Show this week.

But what I think is so remarkable about it is how casually he and Ellen – to openly gay performers – talked about the anniversary party Ellen had with wife Portia de Rossi that Jesse and fiance Justin Mikita were invited to.

Then Jesse shares with the audience a funny story of how he and Justin became engaged while in Mexico for the birthday party of his co-star Sofia Vergara and got upstaged when she herself announced her engagement.

I just have to believe there are a lot of people watching Ellen who maybe aren’t gay friendly in their rhetoric etc. but are being exposed to happy healthy people who are in love and happen to be gay.
