Jesse Tyler Ferguson chats with Joy Behar about new study that shows “Modern Family” to be a favorite of Republicans

Joy Behar really is one of my heroes.

Was watching her on The View this morning and she very politely but forcefully talked about homosexuality with Joel Osteen, the telegenic pastor of Lakewood Church who persists in saying being gay is against the Bible – or at least acting on those feelings.

I’ll try and post video of that later.

First, here is last night’s episode of The Joy Behar Show on HLN with guest Jesse Tyler Ferguson of ABC’s Modern Family!

Among the topics they discussed was this: A new study shows that the Emmy winning Modern Family, in which Ferugson and Eric Stonestreet play the gay couple Mitchell and Cam and are raising an adopted daughter, is a favorite of Republicans.

Said Jesse: “We definitely focus a lot on family values and the core family and bringing up kids in a great way. It just so happens that there’s this gay couple.”

He’s encouraged by the study: “We call it the Trojan horse. We kind of sneak in there sometimes and they don’t realize they’re enjoying this.”
