JC Penney is sticking by Ellen DeGeneres

As a group called One Million Moms tries to drum up support to force JC Penney to fire Ellen DeGeneres as their new spokesperson (they want her out because Ellen is a lesbian), support for Portia de Rossi’s wife is pouring in.

Nearly 25,000 people have signed a Change.org petition in support of Ellen and an LA Times poll shows that nearly 95 percent of respondents think JC Penney should keep her on.

The company said Friday that it ‘stands behind our partnership’ with Ellen.
