Jane Lynch on tonight’s finale of “Party Down”
If not for that little show called Glee, Jane Lynch would have been starring in her second season of the Starz comedy series Party Down.But she returns to the show for the tonight’s season finale and we are reminded that the actress can be very different from the devious Sue Sylvester.
Jane steps back into the role of Constance Carmell, a down-on-her-luck actress who always sees the bright side of things, possibly to the point of self-delusion.
Constance, who has hired “Party Down” to cater her wedding to a 9-times-divorced, aging, ailing producer.
Her former co-workers obviously have concerns about this marriage but Constance believes that the power of their love will triumph over all.
I wonder what Sue would think about all of this!
By the way, the show was not left high and dry as Jane’s replacement (as a different character) has been the brilliant Megan Mullally.
The Party Down season finale airs June 25 at 10 p.m. ET
