James Marsden talks to Out Magazine: “I know I have a face like a model, but I’m actually just a goofy drama nerd underneath”

James Marsden has long been a gay fave because he’s a model handsome actor who is gay-friendly and has appeared in such films as The Notebook, 27 Dresses, X-Men and Hairspray, among others.
He plays President John F. Kennedy in Lee Daniels’ The Butler and has a role in the upcoming Anchorman 2.
Nice to see this talented guy in the new issue of Out Magazine. Here are some excerpts from the interview inside:
Does he know how good looking he is?
“I know I have a face like a model,” Marsden says, half-embarrassed. “But I’m actually just a goofy drama nerd underneath.”
Despite those good looks, he has often played the guy who didn’t get the girl.
“I’m actually less comfortable being the smoldering hot guy … I’d rather play a goofball or a rube than a steamy leading-man role. I’ve never been that guy — I was a skinny loner in high school.”
Lee Daniels on why he cast Marsden as John F. Kennedy: “I’ve been a big fan of his work for a long time. I saw a thespian waiting to bust out from his big tent-pole movies.”

I wish he was gay or bi or similar. He’s so hot and masculine and a nice guy. Would be nice to be a friend if he has that kind of understanding. Love him dearly!
