It’s official: Michael Phelps is greatest Olympian!

Okay, NBC’s prime-time coverage of the Olympics has aired so I don’t want to hear anything about spoiler alerts!

It was frustrating to see Michael Phelps come so close to winning the gold in the 200-meter butterfly but having to settle for a silver medal instead.

Still, that made it all the sweeter when Phelps and his US teammates came back to win the 4×200 freestyle relay with Phelps as the anchor.

These were historic medals, both of them. The silver tied Phelps with Soviet gymnast Larisa Latynina as the most decorated Olympian of all-time with 18 medals. The gold in the relay gave him 19 and the record all to himself.

Those 19 include 15 gold, 2 silver and 2 bronze over four Olympics.

And he’s not through yet!
