Independence Day Videos: Getting patriotic with tunes from Celine, Aretha, Streisand and David Archuleta

Celine Dion sings God Bless America at the Tribute to Heroes special post 9-11. It is one of Celine’s best, most controlled performances ever.

She got more attention for her awesome (some say dreadful) hat than her rendition of My Country Tis of Thee at the inauguration of President Barack Obama. Later, Aretha said in an interview that she was unable to sing at her best and hit her usual high notes because, well, it was FREEZING.

Barbra Streisand sang America the Beautiful in a 1982 television special and I still remember watching it all those years ago. I’m glad I found it on YouTube!

And finally, David Archuleta had no trouble hitting any of his notes at this year’s Pro Bowl. I like this video because not only does David sound great, but the camera pans to lotsa cute football players.
